CHNO
CHN0, a contemporary Filipino artist based in Metro Manila, The Philippines, draws inspiration from 3D technology and software to create his distinctive artworks. The artist depicts the simplest everyday life scenes as pixelated images, infusing them with vibrant colours and a whimsical, cartoony twist through the use of acrylic and spray paints. By blending the digital and the analog, he offers viewers a unique perspective on the intersection of technology and humanity. His art explores the balance and harmony within the convergence of the physical and digital realms that shape our modern existence.
In addition to his studio practice, CHN0 is also a prolific mural artist, with his works gracing the streets of the Philippines. His paintings have been showcased in a variety of solo and group exhibitions, further establishing his reputation as an innovative and thought-provoking artist. Solo shows include: “Blocks” (Village Art Gallery, Manila, The Philippines, 2024); “Life Lately” (Vinyl on Vinyl, Manila, The Philippines, 2023). Group exhibitions include: “The Plan” (MocAF/VeryGood Gallery, Cavite, The Philippines, 2024); “Salad Days” (Force Field Art Space, Quezon City, The Philippines, 2024); “Seas Apart” (VeryGood Gallery, Cavite, The Philippines 2024); “Brightside” (Stupid Krap, Wurtulla, Australia, 2023); “Non-stop Disco” (Secret Fresh Gallery, Manila, The Philippines, 2023); “Everyday Existence” (Art Anton Gallery, Pasay City, The Philippines, 2023); “All Things Bright & Beautiful” (Yidi Art Gallery, Hong Kong, 2022); and “Trilogy” (Aile Gallery, Seoul, South Korea, 2022).
