Established in July 2022, Yidi Art is a Hong Kong-based gallery that is dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art produced by both emerging and established artists across different disciplines from around the world. Intending to foster artistic dialogue and explore the limitless potential of art, the gallery supports artists, irrespective of their geographical location, whose diverse artistic practices address complex contemporary aesthetics and intangible aspects of life.
Throughout our journey, we have had the privilege to collaborate with a wide range of multidisciplinary artists working with a variety of techniques and organizing numerous exhibitions. Among our noteworthy showcases was our debut exhibition: “Simple Gifts,” in July 2022, featuring the exceptional works of Chinese artist Cheng Zhe, represented by Yidi Art. The artist’s oeuvre in the exhibition exuded an unparalleled sense of joy and hope, reflecting the resilience of the human spirit during the challenging times of the pandemic.
Building upon the success of “Simple Gifts,” the gallery proudly hosted Cheng Zhe’s second and third solo show in March 2023 and March 2024 titled “One Flower One World,” and “Tomorrow’s Promises” respectively. The return of the artist’s exhibitions further solidified our commitment to nurturing long-term relationships with artists and offering them a platform to reach a wider audience.
Furthermore, the gallery was honoured to host a remarkable art show featuring the works of the Hong Kong-renowned artist, Frog King in May 2023. The showcase exhibited the innovative and captivating pieces that have made Frog King an influential figure in the contemporary art world. Additionally, the gallery, for the first time, participated in Art Central Hong Kong in March 2024, with aims to reach wider audience and gain recognition. With each exhibition, Yidi Art reaffirmed its dedication to representing artists whose creativity knows no bounds. The gallery has been actively collaborating with artists and hosted more than 15 exhibitions from its launch.
As we journey into the future, Yidi Art remains steadfast in its pursuit of artistic dialogue and its quest for contemporary aesthetics. We seek to cultivate an inclusive space for both artists and art enthusiasts where art of different forms converge.
